Sildenafil is sold in three dosages 100mg, 50mg and Sildenafil Citrate 50 . The recommended dose, for most patients, is 50mg taken from 4 hours to 0.5 hour before sexual activity. It is usually recommended to start with a dosage of 50mg of Sildenafil Citrate and then lower or raise the dosage as appropriate.
For men up to 65 years of age, Sildenafil Citrate 50 is prescribed to be taken once a day, 30 minutes to 4 hours before intercourse. In situations where 50mg isn't effective, your doctor can prescribe 100mg to be taken once daily 30 minutes to 4 hours before intercourse.
For men older than 65 years of age, Sildenafil Citrate 50 is prescribed to be taken 30 minutes to 4 hours before intercourse. In some circumstances, men older then 65 may have their doses increased.
